John Street Bridge in Thornhill Closed for Emergency Repair Assessment


April 7, 2008...The bridge in Thornhill on John Street between Bayview Avenue and Henderson Avenue has been closed for the next several days for an emergency repair assessment.

Crews conducting routine bridge inspection and pothole repair earlier today discovered severe winter damage has made the bridge unsafe. Traffic will be diverted to Steeles Avenue, Proctor Avenue, Royal Orchard Boulevard and Langstaff Road. Delays can be expected in the area.
