You know the holiday season is just around the corner when the Festival of Lights takes over Main Street Markham. The 23nd annual Markham Village Festival of Lights brings neighbours and friends together to ring in the holiday season.
Held on Main Street Markham in the Village, Markham Road (or Highway 48 north of Highway 7), the 2007 Festival is Friday November 23 from 6:30 to 10:00pm. Santa will be here to light the tree at Main and Robinson Street at 6:30 and then retreat to his Santa hut to allow the children to visit him and pose for photos. Don't miss it!
The street will be alive ... stores will remain open and are filled with great Christmas gifts and decorations; live entertainment will ring through the street and the aroma of bbq'd food, popcorn & candy apples will fill the air!
