The staff of the Community Safety Village of York Region and members of York Regional Police are inviting York Region residents to join us for the 3rd Annual Holidays in the Village Celebration on Monday, December 10, 2007, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The Community Safety Village is decorated for the festive season and hot chocolate and treats will be available as you walk through the winter wonderland, bright with holiday lights. The sound of music will fill the air as local choirs sing carols through the night. Children will have the opportunity to make their own festive crafts and should keep their eyes open for a visit from Santa Claus himself!
Representatives of the region’s diverse communities will be in attendance to share their cultural celebrations with children and adults through decoration, costumes and songs. Members of the York Regional Police Community Services Bureau will answer questions related to winter safety, including winter driving and general safety messages for children.
The Fire Educator at the Community Safety Village will be available to provide a demonstration to children and parents in Sparky’s apartment on decorating safely for the holidays to avoid incidents of accidental fire.
Everyone is welcome and admission is FREE!! Donations to the York Regional Police Toys for Tots Program and/or the York Region Food Bank Network are appreciated.
