After standing ovations during his Blind Date appearance this past season, Markham audiences will be cheering with the return of Papa Duke’s music best described as ‘Gypsy World Fusion’ with Classical, Jazz, Latin and pop undertones. Vasyl and his 6-piece band have travelled the world performing for international dignitaries and played with such music fans as world music guitarist, Jesse Cook and Mediterranean guitarist, Pavlo. With a new album, this ‘duke’ of gypsy violin’s future does indeed look bright for Vasyl Popadiuk and his band Papa Duke.
