York Regional Police would like to invite residents to join us for a great day of golf to raise funds for the fight against cancer. So many of us have been touched by this disease and this is an opportunity to raise funds for cancer research.
This fundraising tournament is a tribute to the lives of many, but in particular the following loved ones of tourney organizers who have lost their lives: Judy Parke, Judi Grimes (Sine), Michelle Hobor and members of the York Regional Police family including Staff Sergeant Doug Hall, Detective Constable Doug Nuttall and Deb Young.
With the help and support of Angus Glen Golf Club and many caring individuals and corporate sponsors, the first annual “Clubs for Cancer” tournament will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008.
Located on the prestigious north course at Angus Glen, registration begins at noon with a shotgun tee-off at 1 p.m. for a great afternoon of golf.
Following the game, join us in the clubhouse for a gourmet dinner, silent auction and an evening of entertainment featuring the incomparable crooner, Brian Roman.
If you would like to attend the dinner/evening event, there are a limited number of seats available.
The cost for this event is $250 per golfer, which includes your golf fees, cart and dinner. For those interested in just the dinner, the cost is $125 per person.
All proceeds raised from this fun day will go directly to the Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake in York Region. Please consider joining us in supporting this worthwhile cause.
