Members of the York Regional Police Court Services Bureau remind all residents of the 9th Annual Jump on the Wagon campaign starting this weekend at local grocery stores.
Residents are invited to fill a York Regional Police prisoner wagon with food items which will then be distributed to local food banks across York Region in time for the holidays. Some of the non-perishable food items required by those in need include, peanut butter, canned meats (tuna, sardines, salmon, spam), breakfast cereals, baby food and formula and canned fruits and vegetables. It’s anticipated that more than 1,000 families will benefit from this food drive.
