The Barrie Earth Hour Music Festival presented by title sponsor PowerStream Barrie Hydro Distribution is proud to announce a world-class concert event happening in Barrie, Ontario in support of the international event Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is a global climate change initiative run by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) which calls on individuals and businesses to turn off non-essential lighting for one hour on Saturday, March 28 , 2009 between 8:30pm and 9:30pm. The aim of the campaign is to demonstrate support for action on climate change and express that individual action on a mass scale can help change our planet for the better.
On Saturday, March 28 , 2009 people from Barrie, Simcoe County and beyond are encouraged to come to Collier Street in downtown Barrie (outside Barrie City Hall) to show their support for Earth Hour and enjoy a free concert featuring amazing internationally renowned talent to be announced at the press conference. The show itself will run from 6:00pm to 8:30pm and will have something for the whole family.
