Starting up a business is a complex process. Running a business in a new country poses further challenges. In order to be successful in your venture, it is important to understand the country’s economic and social systems, business environment, as well as cultural values.

This workshop provides practical tools and essential skills that you can use to start and grow your business successfully in Canada.

Speaker: Loretta Lam, an immigrant from Hong Kong in the early 90’s, runs a public relations marketing consultant firm. She started her business from home in 1994. Today she runs a national firm serving such clients as PepsiCo, TD Bank Financial Group, Metropolitan Hotel, AGF, Franklin Templeton, Manulife and Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She is an active speaker and advisor in the areas of entrepreneur skills, diversity and public relations marketing.



Registration fee: $75, including workshop handouts and refreshments ($55 for MSBEC registered clients, ACCE & CPAC members)

Cancellation policy: Cancellations are accepted until May 25. Refund requests (sent via phone or email) must be received by MSBEC by May 25. Refunds will be subject to an administration fee. Substitutions are always welcome.
