Shishir Lakhani describes himself as “actively retired” and happy to be giving back. He was born and did his junior schooling in East Africa. He finished his senior schooling and University degree in the UK. In 1976, as a fresh graduate, he moved to Canada and worked in the Industry for 2 years before embarking on a business career. Shishir has an extensive business background of about 30 years. He owned and ran a very successful manufacturing and subcontracting firm in Concord, Ontario.

He is now the President of Associated Senior Executives of Canada (ASE), a volunteer based, not for profit organization - a group of retired business executives providing advice and mentoring to businesses.
Shishir is also the President (York South Chapter Council) of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He is an active member of Toastmasters as both a speaker and a mentor and also occasionally teaches Communications and Presentation skills courses for adults.
