The Lions 5K Walk will be held on Sunday October 4, 2009 at Markham Town Centre.

More than 2000 walkers including many politicians, business, and healthcare are expected to participate in the walk.

The goal of this year's walk is to raise the awareness on mental health in the community. A substantial portion of the proceeds raised will be used to support efforts to raise the awareness of mental health issues within the York Region. This eent is part of Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW).

Registration on site will start at 9:30 am
WALK will START at 11:00 am
Lunch and Entertainment : from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

Lunch will be offered at a nominal cost of $5.00.

T SHIRTS will be given to individuals who donate or raise over $100.00
