Planning for Action Meeting

WHAT: A multi-community forum for finding sustainable solutions to environmental issues in York Region. Environmental groups and interested individuals are invited to attend.

WHEN: Thursday, November 5, 2009   7pm-9pm

WHERE: Seminar Room, York Region Admin. Bldg. 17250 Yonge St. Newmarket

WHY: This month’s meeting is focusing on the strength in partnerships. Working together, groups can increase their effectiveness by pooling resources and can gain the added benefit of expanded creative problem solving and fundraising capabilities. 

MORE INFO: Our guest speaker is Sylvia Bowman who will focus on the successful partnering of the groups working on the Maskinonge Watershed. YREA’s Anita Komorowski will outline the benefits of being listed on YREA’s Environmental E-directory.  Breakout discussions will follow with topics based on items of interest to those attending. Any new environmental concerns will be addressed and possible actions assessed.
