“Intellectual Property and How to Protect your Art” Tuesday, Oct 20 Canada Room, Markham Civic Centre 6:30pm to 8:30pm
The seminar covers descriptions of the different kinds of intellectual property such as trade secrets, patents, trade-marks, copyrights and industrial designs. It also includes key information on intellectual property such as what it is, how to obtain protection, what are the benefits and some clear examples. Useful resources and tips will also be discussed.
Speaker: Teresa Cheung, Teresa is a commercial lawyer and commercial litigator since 1999. She has a Masters of Law in Intellectual Property Law. She has represented clients at the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and various administrative tribunals such as the Assessment Review Board and Social Benefits Tribunal.
